Jindabyne star Josie Baff was brought to tears on the podium after she became the first Australian woman to win Olympic snowboard cross gold following a riveting photo finish at Milano Cortina.

Baff knew fellow Aussie gold medalist Cooper Woods growing up, and said his victory a day earlier "sparked a little fire in me".
