First responders got a first look at the new Emergency department at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix today. The brand new 64,000 square-foot facility features 60 private exam rooms, a new trauma unit that will provide specialized medical services and resources for critical patients, and 40 observation beds to serve an additional 20,000 patients each year.
